SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI (WHBL) - Road crews in Sheboygan County are ready to tackle the first major snowfall of the season.

Sheboygan Public Works Superintendent of Operations Joel Kolste says they have 18 pieces of equipment ready to clear city roadways.  "Our plan right now is to treat our collector and arterial streets first, they’re priority; and we will be working on neighborhood streets, cleaning them up and plowing them if need be, throughout the night," said Kolste.  Kolste says they will have staff on standby to work through the night.

Greg Schnell with the Sheboygan County Highway Department says they will be at more than full force to clear away snow Monday night.  "We added just a couple more guys to our already skeleton crew for our overnights, so we will be focusing on clearing the off hours on I-43, 23 and state highway 57," said Schnell.  Schnell says everyone will be out Tuesday to clear all roads.
