SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - The campaigns have been spirited in Sheboygan County, but now it’s time to vote.  Today is primary election day, when the political parties nominate their candidate for the November election.

Officials estimate only a 15 percent voter turnout, although that number may be higher in Sheboygan County where all three assembly districts have several candidates scrambling for the posts since all three incumbents are not seeking re-election.  In addition to that, four Republicans - including Sheboygan County’s two senators, Joe Leibham and Glenn Grothman - are in the running for the 6th District Congressional seat being vacated by Tom Petri.

The polls will remain open until 8 o’clock tonight.  Listen for complete election coverage on WHBL beginning at 8 o’clock.  We will also update results on this website.
