PLYMOUTH, WI (WHBL) - Plymouth native Tyler Vorpagel says public service is his passion and he would like to represent his neighbors and those he grew up with in the State Assembly.  Vorpagel is one of three Republicans seeking the nomination in tomorrow’s primary election.  He says he’s worked in Congressman Tom Petri’s office for the past 7 years and has the most experience of any of the candidates.  He said the district isn't just Sheboygan or Plymouth, its Kiel, Howards Grove, Elkhart Lake and all points in between and he says during his years in Petri's office he's worked with people and officials throughout the district.  Vorpagel says, if elected, he will focus on jobs.  He said the state has been doing a good job in that area and those efforts need to continue.  Vorpagel said it's not government that creates jobs, it's businesses and individual and he will work to see to it that government gives them the help they need to create jobs. He said a key part of that is to retain the manufacturing and agriculture tax credit which has been widely used by state businesses.  The top vote-getter in the primary will face Democrat Scott Heinig of Plymouth in November.
