SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Of the four Republican candidates running for Wisconsin's 6th District House seat, Glenn Grothman was willing to move into the district and even challenge Tom Petri for the seat. He said his decision to run was to make sure the area has a strong conservative leader in Washington - something that he says was lacking with Petri.
Grothman says his years of state legislature experience show he can handle being in Congress and take on controversial issues. If elected, he says he'll do what he can to continue that when it comes to cutting regulations, eliminating government spending, and reforming welfare programs.
Grothman faces Joe Leibham, Duey Stroebel, and Tom Denow in the August 12th primary. The winner faces Mark Harris in the November 4th general election.
