SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Renata Neuaone will be released in December after serving 13 years at Taycheedah for her role in a 2001 attempted homicide incident in Sheboygan.
Judge L. Edward Stengel resentenced the 34 year old in Sheboygan County Court Monday afternoon after psychologists at the state prison determined Neuaone was suffering from a personality disorder when she aided in the attempted hanging of a Sheboygan woman from the railroad trestle near the Blue Line Ice Center. Stengel said the resentencing is unique given the state’s truth and sentencing guidelines, but it is necessary given the new information. He added what is needed most for Neuaone now is rehabilitation which can be done outside prison.
Stengel lessened the number of years of confinement from 22 to 13, and also the years of extended supervision from 23 to 18 once she is released.
