SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - The Republican candidates in the state’s 6th District House primary have collected over $800,000 towards their campaigns.  Congressional candidates were required to file their latest campaign finance report to the Federal Election Commission Tuesday regarding the last three months.

Online records for three of the four shows State Senator Joe Leibham raised the most with over $290,000, plus an additional $10,000 personal loan.   His campaign released a statement, saying 92 percent of that came from within the congressional district.

State Senator Glenn Grothman raised over $137,000, along with a $10,000 personal loan.  His campaign says over 99 percent of it came from within the state.

State Assemblyman Duey Stroebel raised around $26,000 but, thanks to personal loans, he had the most money last quarter with over $368,000.

As for current cash on hand, Leibham leads with over $277,000.  Stroebel has over $191,000 and Grothman has over $77,000.

Online financial reports for Tom Denow were not available as of early Wednesday morning.

The likely Democratic candidate for the seat, Winnebago County Executive Mark Harris, has raised over $37,000 from himself and others.  He has around $25,000 on hand.
