Wilson Elementary School students participated in the annual Arbor Day Celebration in April. Each year, the students have planted a tree on the school grounds, but this year, that tradition was in jeopardy. Kris Shepherd, new owner of Don Caan's Floral, gladly stepped forward with the donation of a Basswood Tree when Principal Chad Renzelmann explained that for the first time in 30 years the school did not have a tree to plant.
