PLYMOUTH, WI (WHBL) - A report of a child abduction in the city of Plymouth Wednesday afternoon turned out to be a father picking up his child. Deputy Chief Chris Ringel said a resident reported seeing a child being abducted on South Highland Avenue near an elementary school, but police determined it was a father picking up his child. Ringel said police are continuing to investigate an attempted abduction which was reported last Friday, but haven’t confirmed it actually happened. He said, for now, officers are questioning the validity of that report, which involved a 7 year old girl. Ringel said they never discourage anyone from making a report, but he cautioned people to be aware of inaccurate information being posted on some of the social media sites.
