PLYMOUTH, WI (WHBL) - A Plymouth man has announced his plans to run for the State Assembly this fall. Tyler Vorpagel said Thursday that he will run as a Republican for the 27th Assembly district. That seat has been held by Steve Kestell the past 16 years, but he is stepping down.
The Plymouth native has worked in politics the past seven years, assisting Tom Petri in his Wisconsin district office. In a press release, Vorpagel said he hopes to continue the successful state reforms of the past four years and be a part of the next generation of conservative leadership in Madison.
