SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - The Blind Horse Restaurant and Winery has announced that Congressional Candidate Joe Leibham will attend the grand opening of The Blind Horse Winery on April 25, 2014 at 5:00 PM. Anticipation has been high since The Blind Horse announced its intention of building a world class winery in Kohler.  There will be 19 different wines available for tasting and purchase in the beautiful new tasting room.

Thomas Nye joined The Blind Horse Restaurant & Winery as General Manager and Winemaker last year. Thomas comments, “It is extremely gratifying to launch a winery of this magnitude in Kohler.  To be able to open our doors with 19 different wines available is unheard of in the industry, but it’s a testament to the commitment the owners have shown to build and deliver the type of world class experience expected in Kohler.”

Connie Moeller, one of the owners of The Blind Horse Restaurant & Winery, said, “We are very excited to finally see our vision of a destination winery open right here in Sheboygan County.  After years of planning and anticipation, we are thrilled to share the moment with Senator Joe Leibham at our ribbon cutting on April 25 at 5:00 PM.”

“The opportunity to bring a Napa Valley style tasting room to Kohler is very exciting,” said Thomas Nye, winemaker at Blind Horse.  “I derive great pride and happiness in handcrafting wines that are delicate and approachable.  The Blind Horse will deliver the most unique tasting room experience by combining food and wine together.  We are so fortunate to have a fine dining restaurant on the property in which we can showcase the talents of the kitchen, along with our wines.”
