New Fire Chief Happy to be Here

SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - The city of Sheboygan’s new Fire Chief was introduced during Monday night’s city council meeting.  Mike Romas assumed the post a week ago, succeeding Jeff Hermann who retired at the end of last year.  Romas had been Assistant Chief with the Milwaukee Fire Department and comes to Sheboygan after 30 years with the Milwaukee Department.  He said he and his family are excited to be in Sheboygan and have already purchased a home.  He said, "I'm excited to work for the city of Sheboygan and the citizens of the city."  Romas holds an Associate Degree in Fire Technology, a Bachelor’s Degrees in Physical Education, Health Education, and Fire Science Management, as well as a master’s degree in Business Administration.
