SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - The Sheboygan City Council made it official Monday night. Aldermen unanimously approved a one-year contract with the new Mid-Lake Softball Organization to manage the Wildwood Softball Complex for this year's softball season. The action came after the city terminated its agreement with the Sheboygan Softball Association, which had run the program for years. Council President Don Hammond said the new agreement improves on some areas which led to the problems with the SSA. He said it will require that 20 percent of proceeds from the softball operation come back to the city to be held for future improvements at Wildwood, and it requires a financial review to be submitted to the council. The agreement also states that there will be two city representatives on Mid-Lake’s Board of Directors.
