SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Teachers in the Sheboygan Area School District will be paid based on different standards in the future. During Sheboygan’s Morning News Thursday, Superintendent Joe Sheehan said committee discussions are underway regarding this.
Instead of paying teachers based on years of experience and personal educational growth, the district will be deciding pay based on the quality of their work. Factors include how students are achieving, how well they collaborate with other teachers, and having education that best suits their field of teaching.
The district hopes to have the new standards in place for the 2015-16 school year.
