SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Most, if not all, school districts across Sheboygan County are closed today due to dangerous wind chills. However, only a few cancelled classes Monday due to the cold. All public districts in the county follow the same wind chill guideline: when it reaches minus 20 they consider closing and they automatically close when it reaches minus 30. Cedar Grove-Belgium Superintendent Steve Shaw said county superintendents talked Sunday night and given that wind chills would stay in the minus 20s through most of the day, classes were held Monday. It isn’t just schools that are being affected by the cold. A full list of closures and event cancellations from across the area can be found here.
