SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man has been ordered to stand trial for allegedly providing a fatal dose of heroin to a Sheboygan woman last summer.  31 year old Travis Tramte is facing a charge of reckless homicide in the death last July of 30 year old Kathryn Jakimczyk.

During a preliminary hearing Thursday morning, Judge Angela Sutkiewicz heard police testimony that Jakimczyk had been found blue and unresponsive in her North 9th Street apartment, and died later at the hospital.  The testimony indicated that her boyfriend told officers he was there when Tramte arrived with the heroin, and that Tramte, high on heroin, later began to freak out and cry, “I klled a girl”.

Judge Sutkievicz then ruled there is enough evidence for a trial.  Tramte then pled not guilty and was remanded to the county jail to await his next court appearance.  No trial date has yet been set.
