SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A man who played a big part in the Sheboygan River restoration program will be remembered alongside a portion of it. The Sheboygan County Board of Supervisors Tuesday evening unanimously approved naming a natural area along the river in honor of Roy Sebald.
County Administrator Adam Payne said Sebald, who passed away in 2007 after a long life of conservation work, was the main proponent for the cleanup project. He added that Sebald deserves a lot of credit for the years of work put into the restoration project, which was completed this year, and the future use of it.
The natural area is located at the northeast corner of Indiana Avenue and South Taylor Drive.
