SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Both the city of Sheboygan and Sheboygan County saw a drop in unemployment rates the past two months. The state Department of Workforce Development released figures for September and October Wednesday, following a delay last month due to the federal government shutdown.
In the city of Sheboygan, the unemployment rate dropped from 6.7 in August, to 6.5 in September, to 6.4 in October. As for Sheboygan County, the rate dropped from 5.5 in August, to 5.3 in September, to 5.1 in October.
Last week unemployment numbers were released for the entire state of Wisconsin, which showed a drop in its rate from 6.7 in August to 6.5 in October.
