MANITOWOC, WI (WHBL) - TWO RIVERS POLICE CHIEF JOE COLLINS HAS NOW RELEASED THE NAMES OF THE VICTIM AND SUSPECT IN LAST NIGHT'S ROAD RAGE CHASE INCIDENT THAT TOOK THE LIFE OF A YOUNG TWO RIVERS MAN AND LANDED A 22-YEAR OLD MANITOWOC MALE IN THE COUNTY JAIL. COLLINS IDENTIFIED THE VICTIM AS 19-YEAR OLD ERIC NEUMAN..AND THE SUSPECT AS SHAUN LISCHKA...WHO IS FACING HOMICIDE BY NEGLIGENT OPERATION OF A VEHICLE AND HIT & RUN CAUSING DEATH. LISCHKA WAS ARRESTED AT HIS MANITOWOC HOME AFTER FLEEING THE SCENE OF THE CRASH ON MEMORIAL DRIVE, NEAR AURORA MEDICAL CENTER. TWO RIVERS POLICE LIEUTENANT JOHN REIMER SAYS NEUMAN "WENT TO A MANITOWOC FACTORY WITH 3-OTHER MALES TO SETTLE A FIGHT WITH SHAUN LISCHKA... REIMER INDICATED 'NO' FIGHT OCCURRED & NEUMAN AND 3-OTHER MALES, AGES 16, 19 & 20 JUMPED IN A PICKUP TRUCK..WITH THE SUSPECT IN PURSUIT FROM SOUTH 21ST STREET, NEAR HOLY FAMILY MEMORIAL. THE CHASE CONTINUED ON MEMORIAL DRIVE, WHEN THE OLDER MALE SIDESWIPED THE TRUCK, RESULTING IN THE VICTIM LOSING CONTROL & CRASHING INTO A GUARDRAIL. NUEMAN SUFFERED A HEAD INJURY WHEN HE WAS EJECTED FROM THE VEHICLE..AND DIED AT A LOCAL HOSPITAL. LISCHKA WAS ALONE IN HIS VEHICLE WHILE A 16-YEAR OLD BOY IN NEUMAN'S TRUCK, SUSTAINED A MINOR HEAD INJURY, WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL HOSPITAL & LATER RELEASED TO HIS PARENTS. LISCHKA IS DUE FOR A BAIL HEARING TODAY AT ONE O'CLOCK IN MANITOWOC COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT AND THE WISCONSIN STATE PATROL WILL DO A COMPLETE CRASH RECONSTRUCTION.
