
MADISON, WI (WHBL) - Sheboygan and the state saw good news in the latest unemployment numbers. The numbers released yesterday by the state Department of Workforce Development saw August unemployment rates in the Sheboygan metro area and Sheboygan County drop half a percent to 5.5. The City of Sheboygan saw its rate drop six-tenths to 6.7. The number of estimated jobs grown in the Sheboygan metro area last month was 200. As for Wisconsin, the unemployment rate for August dropped one-tenth to 6.7, and the number of jobs gained in July was revised to 3,800.
