SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - An Illinois man is in the Sheboygan County Jail following a police chase in the city of Sheboygan early last Friday morning in which he allegedly struck a parked car and a house. 26 year old Michael Vitucci is charged with recklessly endangering safety and could get up to 12 years in prison if convicted. Authorities said officers attempted to stop Vitucci for suspected drunk driving in the 500 block of North 8th Street when he took off at speeds of up to 50 miles an hour. During the two-minute chase, which covered about 12 blocks, Vitucci hit a parked car and struck a house on North 4th Street. Officers stopped pursuit but located the car abandoned in the area of North 5th and Park Avenue. Vitucci was located and arrested later during the ensuing investigation.
