PLYMOUTH, WI (WHBL) - The Plymouth Police Department would like to thank the Walmart Foundation for their generous donation of $2,000 through the Local Family Giving Program.  The money received will be used towards the purchase of a replacent AED's (Automated  External Edfibrillaor) for our patrol vehicles.

AEDs are small, lightweight and very easy to operate.  They are about the size of a lunch box and have adhesive electrode pads that rescuers attach to the person's chest.  An AED is very simple to use yet houses the same sophisticated defibrillation technology relied on by emergency medical services personnel and physicians.

The AED is a priceless tool for the police department to have on board.  Over the years, it has resulted in numerous saved lives.
