SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - The city of Sheboygan’s 2014 budget is ready for the public hearing.  Chief Administrative Officer Jim Amodeo told the city council Monday night that barring any changes, the city portion of the tax rate will go up about 10 cents per thousand.  A dime increase would mean an additional 15 dollars on a $150,000 home to pay for services in the city of Sheboygan.  Fifty-seven percent of next years’ budget will go for police and fire, while public works will account for thirty percent.  The public hearing on the budget is set for October 7th, with final passage two weeks later.
