SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - The Sheboygan Police Department is asking for public participation in a survey regarding heroin in Sheboygan County.

Captain Jim Veeser said the survey is part of a project between the department, the Sheboygan Area School District, health care providers, social service and non-profit agencies aimed at reducing the social harm caused by heroin addiction.  The results of the survey will be used to assist in developing an effective strategy that addresses the heroin issue.

Those interested in taking the survey can do so by accessing it on the Sheboygan Police Department’s website no later than October 7.  Sheboygan Police will also be sending out three thousand postcards across the county asking for people to participate.
