RANDOM LAKE, Wis. (WHBL) - An elderly rural Random Lake man was killed Tuesday afternoon when he stepped in front of a van as he went to get his mail. The Sheriff’s Department said 98 year old Erhard Klug was struck on County HH in the town of Scott shortly after four o’clock. Sgt. Jim Gottsacker said Klug was flown from the scene to Froedert in Milwaukee, where he died of his injuries and other complications. Gottsacker said 52 year old Lona Luebke-Barttelt, also of Random Lake, was driving the van.
