SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man has been charged with a misdemeanor hate crime for a letter he sent to an Asian couple in the town of Wilson. 72 year old Dennis Masbruch was charged Monday with disorderly conduct as a hate crime. According to the criminal complaint, it all stemmed from an incident on July 12th when the couple called police after Masbruch was allegedly swimming nude on the beach near their home. Masbruch was arrested and later freed on bail. Last Saturday the couple received a letter signed “Dennis M” containing the phrases “Go back 2 India” and “When you mess with the best, u die with the rest." Masbruch is also facing numerous counts of bail jumping for threatening calls he allegedly made to Sheboygan County dispatchers last Saturday.
