SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Area residents can help the City of Sheboygan try to win an online contest that would results in the repainting of four downtown buildings. The city is one of around 100 communities nationwide to be selected to take part in the Benjamin Moore Paints Main Street Matters program.
City Director of Planning and Development Chad Pelishek says it was a consultant familiar with the city that nominated them for the contest. He adds they accepted since it could help the city's efforts in revitalizing the downtown area and help some businesses improve their look who may not have the finances to do so by themselves.
People can go online to paintwhatmatters.com and cast one vote a day until June 30. If the city is one of the top 20 vote getters, the four buildings on North Eighth Street and Michigan Avenue will be repainted in the summer of 2014.
