MADISON, WI (WHBL) - State Senator Glenn Grothman of West Bend today introduced legislation to provide a tax credit to parents for private school tuition expenses. Grothman said it would give parents the ability to have an alternative to public schools. The bill would provide a tax credit of $1000 for each elementary student and $1500 for a high school student. That would be increased to $1500 and $2500 when fully implemented. Grothman said it will help private schools that are currently struggling, and give parents another option.
