SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - It's time for another great season of shows with the Sheboygan Theatre Company.
Managing director Tom Berger says this year's first play is called Lombardi. "Which is based on a great book on Saint Vincent called 'When Pride Still Mattered', which is all about the life on Lombardi. The play mostly focuses on the end of his career, the last couple of his years with the Packers." Auditions for the play just recently were completed, and rehearsals are set to begin on Monday. The show opens up on September 30th.
There's a number of other great shows this year as well, with My Fair Lady and Cat On A Hot Tin Roof on the schedule. Berger says there's also a return of Shakespeare this year as well... sort of. "In February, we're doing a great little play called The Complete Works Of Shakespeare, Abridged, which is three guys and a box of props doing all 37 plays by Shakespeare in 90 minutes." The season rounds out with The Full Monty.
Berger says patron will also be seeing a return of the Halloween performance of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, as well as a kids musical in April called 'How I Became a Pirate'.
