ELKHART LAKE, WI (WHBL) - Take a run through scenic Elkhart Lake tomorrow for charity.
It's the annual Lake Street Run. It's a fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sheboygan County and the Elkhart Lake/Glenbeulah Athletic Association. Race director Laurie Stecker says there's a 2 mile and 5 mile option. "It's a run, but you're also welcome to walk it to as a fun walk or fitness walk. We allow strollers, dogs, children, whatever you'd like to bring along." There's also plenty of other events going on including balloon twisting, a series of kiddie races and more.
Stecker says if people haven't signed up, they can just show up Saturday morning for the pre-registration. "Be there about 7:30 so you can secure your place in the race and get a really awesome T-Shirt, and that's about it." It's 20 dollars a person for the run.
The race itself kicks off at 9 am from Siebkens Resort, and you can find out more online at https://www.elkhartlake.com/events/
