SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Police and deputies are camping out on top of Dunkin Donuts this morning to help out a good cause.
The event is called Cop on a Rooftop, and both police an deputies will be out on top of the Dunkin Donuts on South Business Drive this morning trying to get patrons to come in and get a cup of coffee. Lieutenant Doug Teunissen says it's all a fundraiser. "Dunkin Donuts will take some of the proceeds from the business and donate to the Special Olympics, which is a cause that law enforcement all over the state supports."
The event is also a impromptu chance for officers to meet with the community, much like their community meetups at local restaurants. "Certainly there'll be squads out in the parking lot and parked around to try and advertise what we're doing down there. And if you have a little bit of free time this morning, stop down."
The event runs until 11 am this morning.
