PLYMOUTH, WI (WHBL) - There's changes coming to how Plymouth residents will be getting their garbage handled.
The city is moving over to an automated collection system with Advanced Disposal. That means that residents will be using special garbage carts that can be picked up with a special arm on a garbage truck. The move will help speed up collection and save money for the city.
Under the changes, residents will be getting new collection bins starting in October. One will be coded for recycling and the other one for general trash. Each household will be getting two 65-gallon carts, but can request smaller or larger carts through the city if they need them.
If you want more information on the program, you can contact Public Works at 920-893-1471.
