SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) -- Sheboygan Police are confirming a bear sighting and urging people to keep their distance.
Dispatchers got a number of calls early this morning of a black bear wandering around the north side of the city. Police and sheriff's officials have been keeping in contact with the bear this morning and are observing its movements. The DNR has been called in to help out with the process of moving the bear out of the city.
Sergeant Joel Kuczynski reminds residents that bears are wild animals, and if they see the bear, just keep your distance and don't interact with it. Call police and let them handle the situation.
