SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) -- Sheboygan County has two new judges today thanks to appointments by Governor Walker.
Walker appointed Kent Hoffman to Branch 2, and Daniel Borowski to Branch 5 this afternoon. Branch 2 was vacated by Judge Timothy Van Akkeren earlier this year, and Judge James Bolgert will be leaving Branch 5 in August of this year.
Hoffman is a current Assistant District Attorney in Marinette County where he handles the county's serious felonies. He also spent 16 years in the public defender's office.
Borowski is an experienced civil and public law attorney, and advises local governments, school districts, and employers on issues including contracting, organizational structure, and risk management.
The move closes a several month question over who Walker would pick for those vacant seats, after a long list of names had been floated as possible candidates.
