SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) -- One person was injured in an early morning crash that shut down a major intersection in Sheboygan.
An ambulance crew was travelling along Taylor Drive when they came upon a single vehicle crash in the intersection of Taylor Drive and Wilgus Avenue. Fire and rescue crews were called to the scene around 2 am, and had to pry open the driver's side door with the jaws of life.
The single occupant of the vehicle was a 36-year-old Sheboygan woman who was airlifted from the scene to Theda Clark in Neenah with serious head injuries. That flight for life call shut down Wilgus and Taylor for around an hour.
The crash remains under investigation. No citations have been issued and alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
