SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) -- If you missed the recent meeting on the new Sheboygan Skate Park, you can still add your input before a third public hearing on the project.

There's a number of versions of that new skate park up for viewing on the city's website. Parks director Joe Kerlin says the design company Stantec is still taking input on the design of that park through an online web survey. "They're asking people to chime on on what they want to see, what kind of amenities they would like to see in that park. And by the time we come to the third committee, that concept should probably be about 90% done."

Construction of the park is set for it's old location at Kiwanis park, but the three designs that are up for discussion differ in some very major ways. "Some people like an open concept, it looks like a park plaza, it may not even know it's a skate park. Some people really really want to make sure we get that bowl in. There's a lot that goes into this, I'm leaving that to the designers." Kerlin says they're hoping to get plenty of input before a third public hearing and meeting on the park itself.

The new park will also likely be smaller than the old park, but have more features for use. It's also planned to be a full metal and concrete construction to give it a longer lifespan and make it a sturdier place for users.
