SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) -- A Sheboygan man is facing pandering charges in connection with a prostitution arrest last month.
59-year-old Lester Bischoff faces one misdemeanor charge of solicitation of a prostitute.
According to the criminal complaint, Bischoff was caught leaving the home of Nicole Andre last month while police were investigating a suspicious person complaint. Police suspected that Andre and her friend 26-year-old Drue Christiansen were heroin users. Officers talked with Bischoff at that time, and he denied thinking that Andre was a prostitute or a drug user. He also said her name was Megan and that they were simply friends and that he was trying to help her out.
When officers came back to Bischoff's house to question him further, he allegedly told officers that he had met Andre through the Backpage website. He said they'd met several times but only ever once for sex. He also told police that he thought Andre was homeless.
Bischoff is free on a signature bond and will be back in court for a plea hearing May 17th.
