SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A verbal argument between a father and son in Sheboygan Falls back in October has led to father being sentenced to probation.
55-year-old Rexford Newcomb the Third was given the one year probation term by Judge Angela Sutkiewicz, which includes the option to transfer to Walworth County, and a requirement to follow an injunction and get counseling. The sentence came after Newcomb entered a no contest plea this week to a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct.
The criminal complaint against Newcomb states Sheboygan Falls Police were called to investigate a disturbance that happened at a home on State Street.
The complaint states during the verbal argument the son ran out of the house and asked for help at a nearby gas station after he claimed his father went into a bedroom and got a shotgun, fearing it would be used against him.
Newcomb denied the claim, saying he is in fear of his son given past attitudes and disrespect and wanted to keep the weapon in the truck of his car to keep it from the son.
