SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man will be sentenced later this month for charges connected to a 2014 incident involving a senior citizen and an alleged sexual assault.
Court records show a plea deal was reached Monday between Sheboygan County prosecutors and 33 year old Ty Turner, which was approved by Judge Rebecca Persick. The deal includes a change in a charge of second degree sexual assault to intentionally subjecting an individual at risk of abuse to likely face bodily harm. Turner pleaded no contest to that charge and a charge of burglary.
The criminal complaint against Turner details what happened at a residence on North Taylor Drive July 24.
Sheboygan Police were told by the then 74 year old victim that she was at home when a male subject entered. That person forced her into her bedroom despite her efforts to get away. She then claimed the man fondled her breast for a few minutes before he left. At one point she said the man told her not to harm him or else he would hurt her.
Police were able to get a fingerprint from the screen door the suspect entered and exited the residence, and it was in February that a positive hit was found connected to Turner.
Police were also made aware of Turner’s involvement after he reportedly called a girlfriend once in custody and admitted to committing the offense.
Turner is scheduled to be sentenced on February 25.
