FOND DU LAC, WI (WHBL/KFIZ) - The trial for the Fond du Lac woman facing murder and hiding a corpse charges continues Monday after taking the weekend off. Eve Nance is accused of shooting and hiding the body of her husband Tim Nance in November of 2013.
The prosecution has been busy calling witnesses the first several days of the trail last week, which included testimony from a person having an affair with Tim before his death.
Kimberly Bebow told the jury Friday she had two run-ins with Eve while seeing Tim. One of them was in August of 2013, when she and Tim slept at his home and Eve found them. Bebow says she left the home in a hurry and tried to apologize to Eve.
Another incident was on Halloween of that year, one day before Eve allegedly killed Tim. Bebow says she took her kids trick-or-treating, but slipped and injured her foot. She went to urgent care and texted Tim about the incident. Below said the reply she got was filled with expletives and warned her not to see him again.
Bebow added when Tim went missing, police asked her to call Eve while they recorded the call. Bebow again apologized for her actions with Tim. “And I heard that you guys were getting a divorce, and I didn’t mean for that to happen. It did mention that night where I was over at your house when you came home. Did you tell them about that?” Bebow says Eve did not recall that.
The prosecution is expected to wrap up its case by Tuesday. The trial is scheduled to last through Friday.
