Beam Guard Work in Sheboygan County

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI (WHBL) - Weather permitting, the next two days will see one lane of traffic on major highways in Sheboygan closed as beam guard work is done.

The Wisconsin DOT says three locations will be taken care of, with the first two this Wednesday on I-43.

- From 7:30 a.m. to noon, crews will be working on the beams at the interstate’s southbound intersection with County Road EE, with the right lane closed to traffic.

- From 11 to 3, crews will be working on the beams at the interstate’s northbound intersection with Smies Road, with the left lane closed to traffic.

On Thursday, the west bound Highway 23 off-ramp to Taylor Drive will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to noon, with the left lane of traffic closed to traffic.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and be mindful of workers in close proximity on both highways.
