SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man will now have to serve 18 months in a state prison for violating an earlier sentence for stealing thousands of dollars from a Sheboygan home back in 2011.
Judge Timothy Van Akkeren sentenced 23 year old Jonathan Parker last week to the prison time, followed by three years extended supervision, for a count of theft. Parker was given 60 days jail and two years probation back in January of 2014 for the theft, but the probation was determined revoked last month.
The theft was for the stealing of over 15-thousand dollars from a home on the 900 block of Kentucky Avenue in September of 2011. The criminal complaint states Sheboygan Police were told the money’s owner, who has gotten it from his deceased grandmother, noticed it was gone after Parker was at the home to discuss a home improvement project.
It was not until November of 2013 when Parker was found and a phone call was used to connect him to the theft. When interviewed, Parker reportedly said he and two other people took the money, headed to Milwaukee, and split it up between them. He claimed to have gotten only between one and three thousand.
