SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Cascade woman has begun serving a 90 day jail sentence this week for her third OWI offense.

It comes after Judge Timothy Van Akkeren sentenced 37 year old Jamie Weaver after she pleaded no contest for the OWI.  A charge of resisting/obstructing an officer was dismissed as part of a plea deal.

The charges stem from a hit and run accident that occurred in Cascade August 1.  The criminal complaint states a Sheboygan County Sheriff’s deputy was able to spot the vehicle that was involved in the accident and stop it on Highway 28 near Waldo.

A closer inspection of the vehicle, driven by Weaver, found evidence that connected it to the hit and run.  Weaver reportedly also did not cooperate with deputies after they decided to arrest her.

In addition to the jail time, Weaver will have her license revoked for 30 months and will need to use an ignition interlock for 30 months.
