PLYMOUTH, WI (WHBL) - A Plymouth man is facing over six years behind bars after he was charged Wednesday for allegedly committing his fifth OWI offense. 63 year old Thomas Weedman was also charged with driving with a revoked license, first offense.
According to the criminal complaint, a Plymouth Police officer stopped a vehicle the evening of November 28 at the intersection of Eastern Avenue and South Street after finding the vehicle’s registration had expired, and the owner of the vehicle had a revoked license. Also, the officer noticed the vehicle did cross the centerline of a road several times.
When the officer approached the driver, identified as Weedman, they detected a smell of intoxicants from the vehicle. That led the officer to ask Weedman to conduct a field sobriety test, which he reportedly failed.
This, plus a preliminary breath test that registered a level about three times above the legal limit, led to Weedman’s arrest.
Weedman reportedly said he understood his arrest, adding all he wanted to do was go out and get a pizza.
