SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Sheboygan man has the opportunity to have a child abuse charge against him taken off his record next year.
Judge Angela Sutkiewicz sentenced 35 year old Michael Schaeve this week to an eight month deferred prosecution for a battery charge. That means if he can avoid any further criminal offenses, the charge will be dismissed.
Schaeve was charged back in April of this year with physical abuse of a child. He was accused of harming his five year old son with kicks, chokes, and spanks after coming home from school.
In the criminal complaint, Schaeve reportedly said he was disciplining his son for getting into trouble at school for choking a kid on the bus, and he may have gone too far.
