SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - Charges are pending for two Sheboygan residents after they allegedly took park in a strong armed robbery that injured a person in downtown Sheboygan Sunday evening.
Lieutenant Doug Teunissen tells WHBL News they got word of the incident at the U.S. Bank ATM in the 600 block of Center Avenue around 7 p.m. "That citizen told us that they had been assaulted by a person that he was familiar with and has known for about a year. He also told us that the suspect threatened to hurt him if he did not give him or her money. The reporter was given medical attention for non life-threatening injuries, and has already been released from the hospital."
Teunissen says officers were busy throughout the night looking for suspect, and it paid off. "Sheboygan Police were able to arrest a 24 year old Sheboygan woman and a 23 year old Sheboygan man, who were eventually jailed on felony charges related to the incident."
The police department adds no other arrests are expected, but an investigation is ongoing.
