Village of Oostburg, WI  - The robber put a gun to the back of a customer’s head and began to count backwards from 30. That’s what the clerk at the Q-Mart store in the Village of Oostburg told Sheboygan County Sheriff’s deputies happened on the night of October 18, 2015.

The clerk says that at around 7:44 PM, she was throwing away some rags in the store’s storage room when she heard the doorbell, indicating that a customer entered the building. Then, just as the clerk turned to exit the storage room, she was met face-to-face with a man wearing a ski mask and pointing a handgun directly at her.

The robber reportedly told the clerk, “I want all the money in the register, you’ve got 30 seconds.” She says the man began to count backwards as they walked back towards the register.

As the clerk and robber approached the register, it became clear that the sound of the doorbell ringing indeed resulted from a customer entering the store. A female customer was standing at the front counter waiting for the clerk.

A criminal complaint filed in Sheboygan County court reveals that the customer looked up and saw the clerk approaching her, followed by a masked man who told her “Don’t look at me! I’m not f****ng around!” Both women say the man again began his countdown.  He reached 10 seconds before fleeing with a bag of cash.

In the course of investigating the robbery, Sheriff’s deputies were able to get a good description of the assailant. Although the women did not get a look at the man’s face, they were able to give deputies descriptions of the robber’s clothing and physique which helped them to hone in on a potential suspect.

By October 19th, detectives began looking at 31-year-old Andrew J Feyereisen of Oostburg as the man who fit the description given to them by the clerk and the customer.  Deputies interviewed Feyereisen on Sunday, November 1st, about the Q- Mart robbery. At that time, Feyereisen denied having any involvement.

On Tuesday, November 3 deputies executed a search warrant at Feyereisen's Oostburg home where they located a semi-automatic style HK 6 mm BB gun, which they believe is the handgun used to carry out the robbery. Detectives say they also found clothing in Feyereisen’s home matching the description of the robbers clothing given to them by the witnesses.

Feyereisen maintains that he was nowhere near the Q- Mart when the robbery occurred. He says that he and his brother were working on a major demolition project at their home at the time of the robbery.

Feyereisen later told deputies that he has been battling drugs for 10 to 15 years including weed, crack and heroin. Feyereisen says, “You name it, I’ve tried it.” When specifically asked again about the Q-Mart robbery a second time, Feyereisen replied, “People who are on drugs make stupid decisions.”

Feyereisen is facing a felony charge of armed robbery with use of force and can face up to 40 years in prison if convicted for the crime.

This is the latest in a string of charges levied against Feyereisen. Earlier this week he was booked into the Sheboygan County Detention Center on burglary, criminal damage to an ATM, possession of burglary tools, and bail jumping. Those charges stem from an incident that happened at the National Exchange Bank in Adel on October 31, 2015.
