SHEBOYGAN,WI (WHBL) - The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Sheboygan River, which is almost two and a half feet above its flood stage.  Moderate flooding is predicted in Sheboygan County and the river isn’t expected to drop below its banks until Tuesday night.  There are some high water problems in the Sheboygan area but, so far,  no roads have been closed.  County Highway Commissioner Greg Schnell said in most cases clogged culverts have resulted in standing water.  He said there have been several instances where the Highway Department has placed signs to warn drivers, but he said it’s nothing people can’t drive through.  Meanwhile, in the city of Sheboygan, the Fire Department was busy Sunday answering calls about flooded basements.  Shift Commander Gary Kolberg said several were just inquiring about assistance, but a few involved firefighters pumping out basements.  He said there have been a few calls today.
