SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) - A Chilton woman will have to spend at least 120 days in jail for stealing a TV from a Sheboygan Walmart.
Judge Angela Sutkiewicz sentenced 36 year old Kaeyapon Komanekin to the jail time last week after she pleaded no contest to a retail theft felony offense.
Komanekin was charged after she was identified by surveillance video as the person who stole a TV from the Walmart on Vanguard Drive in November of 2013. When law enforcement found her vehicle at the Maple Leaf Motel near Plymouth, she was found hiding in the basement. She also reportedly confessed to the crime, saying it would only be a misdemeanor.
Judge Sutkiewicz did allow 120 days of jail time be withheld, along with three years probation.
Online court records do show Komanekin also had three theft and six bail jumping misdemeanors she was scheduled to be in court for last week.
She was sentenced to 30 days in jail, to be served at the same time as the Walmart offense.
