Sheboygan County, WI (WHBL) - This month county board supervisors approved the purchase of land at the corner of Highway 67 and County Road J in the Town of Plymouth.
Chairman Roger Te Stroete tells WHBL News the plan is to use the land the build a new highway shed that will have two purposes.“That’s a good location to be able to consolidate eventually the shed in Plymouth and Elkhart Lake.”
Also, the county will look into making the location the future headquarters for the highway department.
Administrator Adam Payne says it will help save costs. “Instead of all these trucks coming and going from the City of Sheboygan, it will be more centralized in the center of the county.”
As of now it is status quo, but changes will gradually occur over the years.
