PLYMOUTH, WI (WHBL) - Plymouth Police say a man faces a number of charges after he tried to hide from law enforcement on a rooftop near the downtown area early Tuesday morning.
It all began when officers attempted to stop a sports car on East Mill Street around 2 a.m. that was observed to have no headlights on and was accelerating rapidly.
After seeing the squad car, the suspect parked his vehicle at a home on Caroline Street and fled on foot. As officers pursued, the suspect jumped onto the roof of a home on Elizabeth Street and stayed there.
Officers negotiated with the suspect for about an hour before he gave himself up and came down a ladder set up by the fire department.
The suspect now faces possible charges for his third OWI, plus resisting arrest, trespassing, and operating a vehicle without headlights.
